Conciliation Section

For maintaining industrial peace and settlement of formal industrial and other disputes/differences which arise between the employers and workers. Deputy Director Labour (Conciliation), Head Office, Peshawar and Deputy Director Labour, Swat have been notified as Conciliators under the Industrial Relations Ordinance, 2002. Their main functions are:

1. Promotion of settlements of industrial disputes raised by the management and Collective Bargaining Agent Unions in accordance with the law
2. Conciliation in labour-management disputes of general nature
3. Promotion of healthy trade unionism and to ensure industrial peace and stability
4. Assistance to business and industry in improving and increasing their productivity and efficiency through integrated understanding of economic psychology, personnel management and industrial peace
